RIP Adam West,TV's Batman

I attended the premiere of a movie he did in the 80s, Maxum Xul. He struck me as a pretty nice guy, but he was very upset that he was not chosen for the new Batman movie that was being made. I think that the success of the Batman TV show was a blessing and a curse for him.

RIP, Mr. West.

RIP. I wasn't a fan of the old 60's bat man show, but I liked West and the fact that he didn't mind people making fun of him for it. He seemed to embrace being a cultural icon of campy tv, and did so way better than many of his peers.

RIP...the old Batman tv show was a little before my time. I did however see many episodes and I always enjoyed them. He had a good run.

Aw man. He was a great entertainer. +1 on his work for Family Guy and The Simpsons. And of course he'd be immortal if the Batman series was his only work.

RIP. I loved that show as a kid. With respect I post:

Damn. I woke to this news and it was a kick in the gut.

I've told the story of randomly meeting him when he stopped to help me push my dead Porsche across an intersection. No need to tell it again, just mention it because while every other South Coastal Orange County asshole was honking their horns and yelling at me... it was fucking Batman that came to my rescue. Showed real class.

RIP Mr. West. Thank you for being my Batman.
