I started watching it last night and hard a hard time with it. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but I chose going to bed over finishing it.
It's one of those where you're thinking, "This guy can't possibly screw up any more" and then he does, and again, and again. Ugh. It was borderline frustrating.

I also loved it. The Safdie brothers and Jeremy Saulnier have a great competition going to make movies that take anxiety and characters fucking up to whole new levels.
I have a friend who is like the Sandlers character in Uncut Gems. He's a good guy but constantly does things without thinking through the consequences then can't understand why things go wrong. He's honestly mystified why the world doesn't respond as he expects to his bad decisions. I watched Uncut Gems with him in mind and loved it. He couldn't finish it as it made him anxious.
Another good one is War Dogs. That's like he and I become international arms dealers
