1975 They stopped making good music. Obviously, there are exceptions but nowhere near the massive amount of great music made the previous ten years.

any era has both great and horrible music but my dislike for the 90's overall was the homogenization of the popular music...there was some absolutely fantastic stuff but overall it was boring, predictable and the tones sucked. people mention a lot how they dislike the tonz from teh 80's but whatever
perhaps the 2000's on are the worst era for popular music but I approach it differently....because the 90's corporate hunt and industrialization of "starz" and the next big thing changed the face of the poular music. By contrast you take that period from 76 or so till mid eighties and there was just a huge explosion of creativity and originality. I just don't think the vast majority of 90's stuff holds up, the underground stuff yeah, the less than popular...sure. Anything overly popular , no
also the period from about 68 to 75 was great but not really a fan of the early and mid 60's mainly because it's too corny
