Dig it! Post #1 – 01.23.13

Kerouac

weird musical dildo
So today I met Mum and Katie at Red Robin. *I sat there and read the menu for about 15 minutes and finally decided not to eat anything there. *Nothing looked appetizing and when the food actually came, the smell of french fries was disgusting. * I just drank some water and had a nice conversation, then decided to eat somewhere else afterward.
*
This particular Red Robin is next to a Whole Foods, and there were a few things I needed to pick up anyway, so I did some general grocery shopping, as well as snagging some lunch fixings (and a sample of sushi. *Mmm.) *Got to work early, made lunch and it was delicious, filling, and far healthier than anything on the Red Robin menu.
*
My tastes are changing. *The sweet and tart taste of a nectarine is a simple joy, but now I truly enjoy eating one, whereas before it was just fruit. *Peanut butter made from nothing other than ground peanuts has a wonderful taste, while commercial peanut butter tastes like sugar with peanut flavor. *I’m still not at a place where the majority of vegetables taste great, but they’re no longer a challenge for me to eat. *It’s little steps like this that I’m most proud of, because they’re sustainable. *And for right now that’s good enough.

It's amazing how you tastes change and stuff you loved now turns your stomach. Keep it up Andy!

Nice goin', Andy :thu:.

Yeah, I almost died eating a basket of loaded fries at a RR in Houston a few years ago. And yes, once you get used to healthy food and the portions, what you used to eat feels like it's going to kill you in comparison.

I'm still eating some decent sized portions, but it's all good shit. Except for the Penn Station the other day. :embarrassed: But even then I carried out an 8" instead of a 12" and had artichokes and mushroom instead of philly cheese.

Tonite is one of my favourites... baked salmon and steamed broccoli.

That sounds really good. I love steamed broccoli and as much as I am not much of a veggie eater I could have that almost every meal.

And actually Tony's Market has Pacific Cod on sale. I may make pan seared Cod for dinner tonight...

He may not be recognized when Pragestock happens.

However I am sure somehow, somewhere that teabagging will be audible in the background.
