Mum and Katie were asked to play and sing at the funeral on Thursday, but they told Mitch's parents that they weren't sure they'd be able to make it through it without losing it, so instead we recorded the song tonite. I have to have it mixed for the visitation tomorrow night, so if you could please take a few minutes to listen and comment, that would be great. The song is "For Good" from Wicked.

It sounds pretty good on the sources I've checked, but my ears are getting a bit fatigued and I figure I'll have to make some adjustments in the morning. Thanks for the help. :)
 
I just listened to it and hated it. Definitely fatigue, because the piano is way too compressed and loud. Back to the drawing board....
 
I've check it on five sources and it's pretty consistent. I'd like to add a more reverb to the vocals, but since it's going to be played over the sound system in a big sanctuary I figure I'd leave some space for a real room to make up that bit. :embarrassed:
 
Yeah - if you're going to make it available to people reverb isn't a bad idea but if it's being played in a reverberant space I would be careful about that.

It sounds great to these ears. I think it will go over well.

That's effing lovely, man.
I actually think the vocal is a touch too hot. And just a hint of verb would do nicely.
