I think it would be pretty disorienting onstage...especially while I am singing.
I dig my Small stone...they're my favorite phaser...

it can get tricky sometimes....for a while I retired the board and just brought the pedals to a show and had them scattered everywhere in front of me...i think it was easier to step on them that way then when they are set up on the board...
I glance down really quick and have my foot over the switch in the nick of time...one time I tripped trying to turn on a pedal one of the upper level pedals and I sortof fell down doing the splits accross my pedalboard and my crotch turned on the tubescreamer

You guys with these big pedalboards, I have a question.
My pedalboard has grown considerably lately, but I still try to keep my pedals pretty compact and in only two rows that are very close together.
How do you reach the pedals that are way up at the top edge of the board? I even like my second row of pedals to be elevated a little so they are easier to get to. I can't imagine having to step a foot and a half deep into the board to hit an effect.
Of course, I'm also the lead singer, so if I didn't have to stay on the mic all the time, I might find it a little easier, but even my two rows of pedals can sometimes be a chore to get to.

my pedaltrain is angled slightly, but not much. while i try to put smaller pedals in the front row, i understand why you've got certain ones there.
if its me, i take the wah off of the board to bring that phase down.
