They seem very dated now. If it weren't for Sir Paul I doubt the style would have stayed.

Actually, I'd rather have the Club Bass, but in Seafoam...my little brother has a sunburst one that plays beautifully.
Essentially the same as the Beatle bass, but less fiddle-shaped.

I think that be said of a lot of the gear they played. In my mind they are really the main reason that Rickenbacker and Gretsch are still making and selling guitars. And who doesn't want a rosewood Tele? Epi Casinos...they only still exist because of Lennon.

If it wasn't for my injection-molded PA cabs (26# per), I'd've had to give up a lot of gigs. My 1st PA cabs (Altec Lansing "Voice of The Theater") weighed in at about 100# per, and were only good for 100 watts! My present Carvin cabs are good for 300 watts per.

I like sea foam well enough. Just not that bass guitar style. Too victorian or steam punk or something for me.
