Oops

Whoa! I was even hesitating to degloss a neck on a much cheaper Schecter guitar. What was that guy thinking? And he had to be using a power sander to accidently get down to the truss rod, so again, what was he thinking? :facepalm::facepalm: (because one wasn't enough)
 
I paid Prs to change the finih on my custom 22 from gloss to satin. Cost $400 but it was done right and now I actually play the guitar... Of course, they also changed the neck carve from fat to thin.
 
I've deglossed a neck before using a 3M pad. That looks like he wrapped 0ne around a router and just let it ride. :messedup:

Yeah, if your mids are too haunting they disrupt the crystal lattice in your amp.
 
That's not the right wood putty, he should have asked fender what they used on their old solid color squiers.
 
I must admit to a bit of schadenfreude on my part over it happening to a guitar like that. Would have been better if it was like the seven string, fanned fret thing in the first picture.
