The Line 6 units sound great. I'd go at least G50, though - I had a G30, which I loved, but the plastic is flimsy. Dropped the transmitter once, on carpet, and the battery door exploded and the whole damn thing is toast. The G50 is metal.
I've been quite happy with my Line6 G-something. Never had a problem with it and the charge seems to last forever. Only gripe is the power cable is a micro USB so i can't power it off my pedal board supply. Eventually I'll replace it but I'm in no rush. Playing cordless is a pleasant (and completely unnecessary) luxury for me.
I have a Line 6 G-50 that I dig. Sturdy housing and no dropouts. Also has a cable frequency adjustment due to line losses from cables. Gets you close to the sound of the cables that you are using.
Only problem with the dongle I’ve had is forgetting to take it out and trying to get the guitar into the case. Ooops.
For gigs where we don’t get a proper sound check or the sound guy sucks, it’s handy to walk out in front of the stage and start playing with the band. People in the bar find it amusing too.
