A Pro line Gretsch will be m next guitar acquisition. There are 3 models I'm contemplating.
1.Chet Atkins 6120AM
2. 6119 Vintage Select Country Club
3. 6139CB White Falcon. Love the look of this one, and being a center Block would be extremely versatile.
I'm in no hurry. Hopefully I can make a trip to a big city and play these before deciding.
The Country Club is Fender Scale, the 6120 and the Center Block are Gibson Scale (approx)
All 3 have Filtertrons which is what I want rather than HiLows or Dynas.
Right now I'm leaning towards the Club. Tomorrow , who knows.

How did you develop Gretsch gas all of a sudden???
The Electromatics are quite nice (yeah, I had a couple...rolleyes1 ); my only beef with them are that I have a love/hate relationship with the BTFT pickups - dead clean they are quite nice, but I hate the way they sound even just a bit hairy - they can get quite muddy, and lose articulation the with increasing dirt.
If I was to get another down the road, I would swap in some TV Jones - hell, I even like the Fender Fidelitrons better
