They do seem to be the new Yankees. This is a hate the game, don't hate the player situation. There needs to be a better system.
As a Dodgers fan, it is fun. It beats spending a fortune and being in last place like the Mets.
Spending 35 years living in Santa Clara (bay area), one thing I learned is this: LA teams in every sport always seem to be able to someone give a wink and nod to stuff that commissioners/owners would never allow any smaller team (See the Landon Donovan Earthquakes/Galaxy fiasco for a primo example of something that would have led to Parliamentary censure in - say the EPL). It's because sports in the US are run for the benefit of the owners, not fans - and every commissioner's wet dream is a NY/LA final every year. Big market teams always have an unfair advantage in the US.

As a life long Angels fan, I call BS here.

I saw nothing. I’ve been rushing through shitty airports all day after my first flight was delayed and the good people at United rerouted my trip to get me to PVD without having to wait an entire day. Right now I am sitting outside of gate A2A at Dulles (Jennifer Connelly, anyone?) and this airport is such a shithole. The water in the drinking fountains is warm.

Wait. . . drinking fountains aren't supposed to be warm? What the hell have I been doing with my life. . .

I'll store your So. Cal rant/complaint with all of the others.
LA getting a soccer guy in an attempt to grow that dead in the US sport, and two teams that have played each other once in the World Series in the past 45 years are your examples on big market teams having an unfair advantage?
