I would have someplace make a black, brushed metal plate to replace the aging plastic. Would survive torque on the jack better, and would look classy.
 
Very nice. I remember coming across one of those in the now bankrupt Song Bird Music in Toronto. I can't recall the exact price but I do remember it being quite cheap.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda.....

that's a great idea.
 
Very cool. You used to be able to pick those up pretty reasonable priced. Now, they are going up in value. I've always liked em'.
