And I've gotta say, that roasted maple neck is sick. Dang it feels nice. The guitar plays amazingly well.

And a really strange thing. The day after I ordered this I ordered a Gator Transit case for it on Amazon. They both arrived today on the same truck......

That neck looks great. Is this one MIK or did you spring for an MIA guitar?

Do you have popcorn ceilings?

I can see them reflected in that beautiful finish.
Why don't I have a Reverend?

So what lead to this decision?

While I love the Reverend single cut shape, I still prefer a Tele-body. But paying the upcharge for the Anderson while losing the Bass contour control is damned near illogical. The Trickshot has better colors too. My ideal Reverend is a Buckshot w/ a Strat-style vibrato. I'm not a fan of tune-o-matics and stop tails...a fender-esque bridge feels most comfortable/right under my hand. So while I love all of the Rev SC variations, the Trickshot is really the only one that I'd likely get too. And, not that you needed any validation, the Medieval Red is THE color.

Lastly, is there a second Reverend on the way?

Inquiring minds and whatnot...

Good question. I wanted a Tele for sure. Once I ruled out a high end maker, Reverend just gives you way more bang for the buck. Locking tuners...bass contour...outstanding QC....and I love the contoured body over the traditional Tele slab. The bass contour is really only needed on this guitar with the neck pickup, but it really makes that pickup more usable with OD on. And that roasted maple neck. That is usually only standard on more high end guitars.

And another Reverend in the pipeline? Probably. But not right now. I know what I think I want in my next electric, but I will wait and see what I actually need. I do have a short list though....

what are you using for an amp? IIRC, you are a Vox fan, the Victory VC35 is awesome and Voxy.

Ya know, Dave’s acquisition has reminded YET AGAIN that each time I have let go of a Reverend, I regret it :frown:

I almost pulled the trigger not too long ago on a Trickshot in the burnt brick, but didn’t.

There is a dealer nearby that has a Charger 290 in Mulberry Mist that is hard to resist ( ), but I just locked eyes on the Club King and Jetstream 390 in the same finish...I just may have to use that last bit of guitar money for that CK.

Club Kings are awesome. I had one but had to sell it when I got divorced....

I had a Vox AC-15.

Since I am not gigging at this point I only have the Line 6 Helix and a Headrush monitor. No need for a real amp right now.
