New Watch Day.

I've just purchased the most expensive watch I've ever owned....by far.

Just got a Citizen AT Perpetual Chrono. Has Eco-Drive, so it is basically solar powered. It also receives signals from the atomic clock, so it should stay pretty accurate.

I just got it a couple of hours ago, and so far I love it. Plus, being so close to Valentine's Day, everything in the store was 25% off. :thu:

Here's the pic from their website.

It was between this and a Bulova self winding. This one won today, but the next time I've got some excess cash, I may end up with the Bulova.

Awesome. I have a Citizen Eco Drive. It works great and has been a great watch for the last 9 years. Mine does the date, day of the week, and moon phases, but it doesn't have a chrono or the atomic clock things.

Good to hear there aren't major complaints with Eco Drive. This is the first watch I've ever had that cost over $85. :embarrassed:

Very nice!

I haven't worn watches in 20 or so years, due to working in and around machinery and such (not to mention cell phones with clocks), but that work has gradually changed over the years, so a watch wouldn't be as vulnerable. Still, I tend not to wear one.

My wife bought me a Citizens Chrono for my 50th, and engraved a nice message. I only wear it when we go out, but that's good enough for her :) - I don't want to damage it.

I'll end up wearing this to work pretty much everyday. Of course, I work at a bank. Mrs. P told me the first time she sees me wearing it while mowing the lawn, or working on a car, that will be the last thing I ever do with that arm. :embarrassed:

Sweet...I've never really understood the obsession in owning a really nice watch...

A $50 Timex does it for me every time......

I keep time by a cheapo or this which is what's hanging on a wall...

Really nice watch! Congrats!

I have not worn a watch in over a decade - not counting the GPS kind.

Great purchase! Being a watchaholic, i will say you got a great timepiece ( I have an ecozilla 300m diver) . I also have a Bulova Accutron auto chrono which is just beautiful, and a dead on time keeper.

They are some of the marvels of mechanical engineering, and they look cool..imho. My life revolves around time, so a great watch is another tool therein.

I appreciate the amount of detail work that goes into a good watch, much like a good guitar. There are a lot of similarities in good solid bones. And rock solid performance.

Nice watch. I am a watchaholic too. I like automatics or winders.
An Eco-Drive is on my list for an everyday watch. My current needs a tune up.
I refuse to use a cellphone as a timepiece, gps, guitar tuner... They don't even do the phone thing right!
