I've been wanting a Taylor Big Baby since I saw Leo Kottke play one. Scored one on ebay for $170.00 with shipping. It was grimy and needed a good scrubbing. There was a film on the fingerbord so thick that it appeared to be grooved from finger wear, but was in fact a layer of thick oil or something sticky that appeared green on the cloth I used to clean it. I polished the frets first with steel wool, then with a piece of leather until they sparkled. It then got a new set of Martin Lifespan mediums and a tune-up. Plays perfectly. First song on it, 'Black Mountain Side'.
