So this happened today. It's a 70-75 Gibson SG Standard. Mostly original. The tailpiece is aluminum so I'm not sure if that is. I also had to replace the pickguard and back plate screws. Pickups are Gibson Tarbacks. Also, there was a headstock break at one time. That's to be expected for a 50 year old Gibson. Not sure if I'm keeping it yet. If the price is right, I may sell it. But guitars like this don't come around too often at prices that I can afford.

Just checked the pots again. It's a 73. Also spent about 10 minutes playing it. That guitar is something special. I'll sell a LP Tribute or three to offset the cost. I'm keeping this one.
 
I love it. That's basically a clone of the first electric guitar I ever strummed.
 
Nice. I had an opportunity to buy one of those (I think it was a 1972) for $500 about 15 years ago and passed like a dummy.
