The Seahawks had opportunities to win, but the D, which isn't all that great, started making more mistakes, and RW made a couple down the stretch too. Plus a couple bad penalties in inopportune times. The turning the FG attempt into a touchdown was big, and the hold on the Seahawks TD in overtime. Yes, the defender would have gotten there but for the hold and yes it was a good call, but it would have been interesting to see if Metcalf could have broken the tackle, if Moore had not committed the hold on that defender.
 
Who here was saying that the Patriots are all Belichick and the QB is just a pawn in his system? Not a Brady fan but the Patriots with Newton at the helm were putrid yesterday. Go Niners!

It's up there, but still a little early to call it, but it may take the title. Remember the season where the Seahawks won the division with a 7-9 record? Or when the Panthers won the NFC South with a 7-8-1 record?

Yeah, I do remember that. And hey, at least they won one playoff game that season, knocking off Brees and the Ain'ts.

And we had the birth of the BeastQuake, before RW, and early on in Marshawn's tenure. I think that was the best stiff arm of all time when he shoved that guy off him and down over the backs of his heels.

I didn't say they won the NFC East. I said they won the division, which these days is the NFC West.

I know. That was supposed to be a joke about how that was phrased. But, as my daughter regularly points out, my jokes are not always all that funny.
