It's a music variety show, and it's generally more or less interesting depending upon the quality of the contestants and the choices they make on a week to week basis. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it's meh. But if you don't watch, you have no basis for an opinion.

it's definitely not a variety show. it's a funnel designed to spit out the safest musical personality. that's the intent of the show and it's stated from the very beginning. it's one of the few shows on television that actually gets worse as the season goes on.

YES. Peek man knows his food. One of the best inventions of our time.
And I dont really get the hate for the show. I watch it and I enjoy it. It's entertaining. I mean, how can you not be entertained by Iggy Pop running around shirtless pretending the mic was his, umm, Iggy.
Other than that, it is a talent show. Talent shows have always been on tv and I think they are always fun. Star Search was a huge hit and launched a lot of careers. Gong Show was the other end of the spectrum but entertaining for sure. AI is just a talent show. Sometimes it's good talent, sometimes it's not. I have gotten to where I prefer watching shows like that to the eleventy millionth cop, CSI, hospital emergency room, lawyer show that overcrowds network tv.
For some reason I do like Hawaii Five O. And I hate Survivor.
