My will is weak

Weird Pick Butt Person
I've been without humbuckers for a month or so now, and a 7 string for at least a decade, and have wanted to try out a multiscale guitar for a looong time, and I'm a sucker for H-S guitars, so even though the aesthetics are not exactly what would be my first choice (that headstock is pure silliness, and matte black is particularly dumb as a guitar finish, IMO) when this popped up I couldn't resist. Gets here tomorrow; further reports as events warrant.

That would be interesting to try. I don't think I could play it very well but I'd give it a whack.

it's in my sticky little fingers.

it's definitely pretty fugly, and the matte black finish is still the dumbest (hello, and welcome to every fingerprint and bit of dust ever put on this guitar) but the longer scale length on the lower strings is awesome (it's 25.5" on the high E, and 27.8" on the low B). The fanning of the frets is remarkably totally not noticeable when playing, they just look weird - the extra string is a way bigger deal to get used to again compared to the angled frets), the bridge and neck joint are super comfy, and it plays like buttah (I reallllly like stainless steel frets). I don't have a champ, so the best I could do was to put a goofy green strap on for the reggae playing.

I’ve contemplated a harp-guitar, which is sorta the acoustic version of that, so I can understand the appeal of the multi-scale.

After spending a bunch more time with it over the weekend, I totally dig it. Aesthetics aside, it seems like a very thoughtfully designed, well made guitar. The output jack is really nicely located on an angle near the rear strap button, perfect for tucking the lead into the strap, the frets are ginormous, but really well-dressed (and stainless!), the nut is bone, and very nicely carved with that sorta slope-away-from-the-break-point that's supposed to be a good thing (?), the humbucker is coil-splittable via a push-pull tone knob, yadda yadda yadda.

I'm totally drinking the multi scale kool aid too.

Congrats!

I would have no fargin idea what to do with that thing. I know diddly about 7 strings, and even less about fanned frets etc.

They are as mysterious to me as magnets to a Juggalo.
