I like to find locations in my favorite movies

It's interesting to see the change that happens

Yeah when I was a kid watching Rockford Files I always wanted to know if the locations were real addresses. When I moved to SoCal I was able to drive around LA finding the locations
Now I just use a combination of Yelp, Google Earth, Google Maps, Netflix and a program called Jing to capture specific images on the screen like street signs.

Here's Resevoir dogs

The corner of York BLVD and Ave 50.
Used to be an insurance agent and now it's a Mexican cafe

That ain't nerdy, actually this kinda cool!

In Long Beach there is a diner called George's 50's Diner which has been used in a number of films. The food isn't bad, just your run of the mill local food joint.

They have done other movies but I can't seem to locate any at this time. I see a film crew out there every once in awhile.

wow. that's cool. don't think i could find many around oklahoma. i know there have been some, the movie twister for instance.

There was a Charlie Sheen movie (The Chase) that was partly filmed around Houston and the Clear Lake area in Texas. I could show you the locations, but I'm pretty sure no one ever saw that movie.

I remember that movie Christy Swanson rode Charlie while he was driving and Ron Jeremy played a cameraman that was more convincing than Charlie's character

That is awesome!

It's probably easier in Cali. I might be able to find a few out here. Probably more from TV.

That's pretty cool. I live down the street from the old prison where they filmed Shawshank Repemption and Tango and Cash. That's about as close as I get to movie fame.
