Musicians Friend... my new outlook on this company

I've ordered tons of gear from them over the years. Saved quite a bit via sales, coupons, etc...

The m&p here is owned by some great folks, but the stuff they stock isn't appealing to me at all.

I bought from MF 2 or 3 times, and got what I ordered new in box. No complaints, but my limited history may be unimportant.

It makes sense that they will take care of such an important revenue stream like Myz....

But seriously fuck musicians friend.

Their practice of buying up competition to put them out of business just adds to their homogenation of product lines. I'm sick of seeing the same cheap imports everywhere. They are the Walmart of the music industry and I'm glad that companies are finding ways to be successful without having to pander to Musicians Friend.
THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GC/MF, I refuse to do any business with that!
Now Sweetwater! I built most of my studio with gear from Sweetwater..

About the only dealings I have with MF is the occasional STOTD purchase, mainly due to my aversion to MegaMarts (it has been years since I've been in WalMart)...I did buy my beloved Washburn Les Paul form them back before the internet, and my G&L Tribute Ascari GTS came from them, but that was a STOTD...

I much prefer to shop at Alto Music, my local shop, which has equal (and sometimes lower) pricing and I can actually audition my purchases before I buy them...

For online purchase I use AMS and Sweetwater...
