So the Mrs is having gallbladder removal surgery Tuesday morning. She's been suffering through progressive pain over the last few months and underwent testing a few weeks ago. A consultation with the doctor last Thursday was serious enough for him to schedule the surgery fairly quick.
If all goes well with the laproscopy, she'll be home Tuesday afternoon. If they run into scar adhesion problems from her old c-sections, they'll have to make a huge incision instead of small ones and she'll be there for several days.
Basically, they inflate the abdomen during the scoping to provide adequate room. A scar adhesion can limit this ability, so the alternative could be the old style fish gutting. That would increase the pain, chance of infection, and length of in-patent stay.
Cross fingers!
