I think this guitar would actually look better with gold hardware. The color of the koa and gold hardware are quite complimentary.

I don't know what it is, but I am just not much of a fan of koa as a body wood on electrics (sorry Baimun). I love it as a back/side wood on acoustics though (but not as a top wood).

Koa should almost never be used for guitars. Guitarists are greedy bastards, it'll be just like The Giving Tree.
