The fates already f'ked me sideways
My 90 year old mother owns a 3 flat. My sister is in the basement apartment. She was renting the 2nd floor apartment to a guy on a month to month basis. He was living with his sister and his mother. He was about 30.
Last year, he was involved in an industrial accident and lost a foot. He was on painkillers ever since. Last night, he overdosed. We don't know if this was accidental or intentional. The mother and the sister will likely move and I can understand why.
My mother, who is struggling with slight demsia and other health problems is beside herself. She's not sure how to deal with this. Neither am I. We don't know what will happen. This is all unfolding.
