Let’s Get Obtuse!
You ever visit a place and just instantly dislike it for no reason? This is my second round and I am not having this town. Vibes are part cornball middle America and part passive aggro. It’s like living in a bad sitcom with the laugh track removed.

Your #1 attraction is a mall?!? Sounds about right.

I did overdubs for a record there in the mid-'90s.
All I remember is the strip club we went to was nasty, and it was winter so it was cold as shit!

I enjoyed the hot sauce stores in the mall.

The boat ride on a lake in Minnetonka was pretty rad.

Right in the middle of town? I don’t know.

I had always heard what a great city and metro it is, and I finally got to go (for work) a little over 2 years ago for the first time, and have been back several times since. While it’s not bad, it is certainly nothing special, and frankly very overrated. Really nothing distinguishing or interesting about it, other than traffic in the area is a right nasty bitch.

I get there about once every year or so. Really can't remember anything memorable. Prefer St. Paul.

No good guitar stores?

What's the best pizza in the Twin Cities?

Best eclectic yet affordable restaurant?

We were there on vacation once. Did a loop that hit the Dells first, wife wanted to see the big mall. It was before we remodeled our kitchen. There was an appliance store that had Wolf ranges we could see in person, so we hit that. "Hi. We're on vacation, there is absolutely no chance we are going to buy anything from you." Lady spent an hour with us. Don't know if everybody is that nice but, it sure left a positive impression.

Prince is awesome. The Mats are awesome. This town, not so much. I dig Springsteen, but New Jersey sucks. The world is complicated.

Springsteen is awesome because he spent so much time in Richmond, VA when he was getting started :embarrassed:
