Definitely not doing that. Jews don't really do that, anyway. We tend to name kids after relatives who have passed or at least using the same first initial. But I'm not sure we're gonna do that either.

I'm big on self-fulfilling prophecy, so if you're having a boy you should seriously consider Biggus Dickus.

The whole picking a name thing gives me more anxiety than anything else about having a kid.

I was lucky. My wife and I both love Robben Ford so the first name was simple. The middle name was the tougher one but we settled on "Lee" which is also my middle name. Hence Robben is not really a junior but he does have the same initials as I do - we didn't want a Junior. The real irony is that Robben Ford's middle name is also "Lee" I found that out like about 10 years later scrolling through a guitar players book.

Our family doesn't really do "juniors" but we have a long tradition of sons getting the father's name for the middle name. Somehow the daughters keep getting grandmother's names for their middle.

We almost named Max after our dog. I got close, it's his middle name. Max Kauer sounded better. LOL
My grandfathers names were Max and George, and in the Jewish naming convention that Jaxn mentioned above I became "Mark Gordon Wein". I wanted to name our son Max but my inlaws had a much beloved dog named Max at the time and we didn't want people thinking that we named him after the dog.

Kind of like naming your daughter Kandi or Destiny or Desiree...you're pretty sure there's a stage with a pole in their future.

I hate everybody in this thread with the heat of a thousand white hot suns!

I just had a heart to heart with the painter. I'm going to work with him at his shop to finish these up. I also found out that he's been trying to start a lawn service and doing some cooking in the evenings to try to make a little extra money. Hmmm. Anyway, it seems there is a resolution.

Hmm, if only there was a side job or two he could do for some extra money........
