Mad Max Fury Road: Guitar Guy

Just saw it last night. I can't believe no threads on this guy:

Apparently he's a popular Aussie guitarist, and I loved those scenes. It's like a mobile version of the Grateful Dead's early 70s "wall of sound" array. So now I want a double neck flamethrower guitar...
 
He can't be that popular, I tried to look for his music on youtube, couldn't find anything.
 
I thought that was one of the worst movies I ever saw. Only reason I didn't shut it off was because I was drunk on a red eye flight and couldn't sleep. Mel Gibson must have grown a pair of sugar tits when that turd came out.
 
The Doof Warrior! Such a good movie all around. I'm surprised at the rotten tomatoes here. Maybe even more surprised that I find my tastes aligning with Flamencology more and more lately.
 
I just watched the movie tonight. What a shitfest. They just padded the end of Road Warrior into a 2 hour movie.

I thought it was awesome. No plot at all but it was all about the action of which there was loads.
 
Indeed that movie had so many issues.

-Max would never let someone steal his car without getting them and getting his car back
-Max had no personality in 'Fury Road' with no background on anything
-the entire 'the king has the water' thing...ridiculous
-in a world starved for gasoline, there were how many groups all chasing them for the gasoline in big vehicles which burn...uh...gasoline?
-and one of the groups was actually chasing them for the women which was a stupid angle to make the villain more 'villainy'. "He just screws these hostage women against their wills"
-then there were these people who were used to give live transfusions to

The movie would have been half cool if Mad Max had never existed in any form before but this crap only sells to the new generation which has no clue about anything (and _tom_).
 
My impression of Road Fury is that a movie studio gave a bunch of 13 year old boys a blank check and said "Go make a Mad Max movie."
 
LOL I enjoyed it just like the older Mad Max movies, silly fun. But it has been maybe a tad overrated, since it has become the darling of all the people who think CGI is a tool of the devil.
 
Sometimes you need a good ol' action movie that requires no thinking. Sit back and enjoy the entertaining ride.
Charlize made it worth the admission.
