Look, I know this probably belongs on the pedal forum, but I know where the traffic is.

I want to get an octave pedal to emulate that Neil Young sound on Hey Hey My My. I read somewhere that he uses a MU-Tron Octave Divider, but $500 plus is a bit out of my range. I'm thinking more like 40-80 bucks.

If you don't know the sound I mean, here it is:

Nothing? Nobody?

Reading through reviews over at HC, it looks like the EH Octave Multiplexer is the best of the three units I mentioned.

Yeah but the Boss OC 2, the DOD FX35, and EH Octave are all in that range.

That's about it...and the godawful blue box. TBH, I would skim ebay and craigslist until I found something dirt ass cheap since it's an effect that you'll probably hardly ever use after you get it (at least that's what I found).

That's precisely why I don't want to invest much in it. I'm watching a few things on ebay, but I'm not in a hurry.

The only octave pedal I have ever used is the boss one. That was many years ago, too long for me to even remember why I had it or what it sounded like.
