Jogging

other way around for me...running the distances we do and speed work we do...it gets kinda old...

but I guess I'll do well in track because of the training...eh...i guess this can only do good for me...

Prages and I have a Marathon in April, that I think is going to hurt us both and then a half marathon the next weekend. I think he is not too happy with me, I keep finding him these painful things to do.

I'm still not convinced that I'm doing a marathon. The 1/2 I'm okay with, but I don't think I can do a full marathon, much less following it up with a 1/2 the next weekend.

Nice weather today, instead of jogging I went for a 3 hour walk. Walked 10.5 miles. :)

jogging time again, just got back, a 25 minute slow jog in 28c weather, sure was hot panic0

I took yesterday off to help my hip recover from an aggressive weekend running schedule, but I'm back on for 4 miles tonight after work....

And then I'm stopping by McDonalds for a Chappleburger..... No shit... It'll be epic... EPIC!!! :embarrassed:

Oh, I found a pic of me running my first ever 5k race back in April. Looking at this pic I'm wondering why I ever signed up for SIX MORE RACES??????

I certainly don't look like a natural....

Great run for me today!

My first 5 miler! I took it slow to gain the endurance without getting too sore, and it worked marvelously. Spent 50 minutes touring my home town in the early morning light. I plotted a course in Google earth for 5 miles, followed it perfectly, and I'll be goldarned if it didn't come out perfectly 5 miles according to the garmin.

I might take tomorrow off, or just take a nice slow recovery run for a couple of mid-day miles.

YAY running!!!!

This stuff is so fun, I'm amazed it's still legal....:embarrassed:

So, I was going to do another 5 miler today, but I felt so good after 5, I decided to go for a whole 10K.

My long run before this weekend was 4.25 miles, so I'm feeling like I'm making some good endurance progress. I'm going to try to make 4 miles my 'every day' run from here on out, and go long on Sundays, the next few at 6 miles until I ratchet it up to 7. I'm thinking I might be ready for a half by October if I can stay healthy.

My time for the 10K this morning was 1:embarrassed:7, but I really didn't push anything. I know that my cardio system is opening up, because I ran at 10:48 pace average, and my heart rate averaged below 160. Yay!

I finished the month with 78.7 miles logged.

I love running, and this happens to be one of the nicest cities imaginable for that sort of thing.

But I don't imagine I'll get many chances to start getting back in shape for a while.

Any of you folks still jogging, I know the weather is hot these days. Went for a jog at 8 am and it was hot. Maybe tomorrow I'll try at 7:30am. Time for a coffee! コーヒー

I finished last week with 29.6 miles and a long run of 9 miles on Friday. (It was a horrible 9 miles, too)...

I did 3 miles on Saturday afternoon in the 90 degree heat and high humidity. It was horrible.

My Sunday morning (started at 5:30AM) run was 10k at a nice cool 57 degrees F.

Tomorrow morning, I'm going out for 5 miles, doing my first ever speed workout...

1 mile warmup
3x
800m race pace
400m easy pace
and 1.5 easy miles cool down.

Hoping to shave some off my 5K time with the quality workouts. We'll see.

Today is perfect day for jogging, but a month ago I somehow injured my leg and still can't really go jogging. So anyway today I went for a 3 and a half hour long walk. Feel pretty good too. But I think I'll wrap another med pad on my injured leg.

We did 12 miles or so on Sunday, but Mrs. P's foot is killing her, so we've decided to take this week off since we have a 15.5 mile run planned for Saturday morning.
