You're driving around LA and surrounding areas. Lots of different places. You've never been here before. Certain places, buildings, bridges, vistas, stretches of road seem incredibly familiar. Eerily so but it's not deja vu. It's a different feeling but a feeling nonetheless.

Then it dawns on you. You've played so much GTA V/GTA Online that you're intimately familiar with that virtual world, which is LA in miniature. Mind blown. Where's my bullet proof vest and SMG?

I play Fallout 4. For me, I get almost the same feeling when I go into Boston. Although I've been there many times, you get into certain areas and think.... okay there's a pack of feral ghouls or raiders nearby. Lol.

I don't know a name for it, but I hope to experience it someday when I play one of the golf courses I've only played in the video game realm.

I let my 17 year old son drive up Pikes Peak when we vacationed this last summer. He knew all the turns and their names from a video racing game.

My wife was not excited to hear about "The Devil's Playground." He did a fine job both up and down the mountain.

Deja Video?

Deja Map?

Been playing vids for quite some time now but almost exclusively two genres: FPS in the form of Call of Duty and Racing Sims (PCars, rFactor2, Automobilista, Assetto Corsa, R3E, PCars 2...). I have never visited any of the map sites in COD, (Yet a tour of Pripyat would be cool- the town was used in COD4 ), and I do not think I will anytime soon. The Long Beach GP course, though, is very familiar and I see it a lot in a few of my sims as that has always been one of my favorite tracks. Kinda cool to drive up Pine Ave., Seaside or Shoreline and then do it in the sims to see how well they match.

I work armed post security supervisor for the Army for the past 14 years. Years ago I went through a stage where I played the first 4 Splinter Cell games back to back.

Every time I would get to a guard post and see the cameras I had a strong urge to avoid them and an initial urge to shoot them out.
