Iron Chef Wein House Edition

The mystery ingredient was food.

Trying to get my 4 year old to eat something other than pancakes (and just picking at it to boot). I figured we could cook together this morning.

From the refrigerator was chosen Eggs (actually Egg beaters), Havarti Cheese and Hebrew National Hot Dogs.

So Jacob had a Havarti and Hebrew National Hot Dog Omlette with a trio of dipping sauces : Ketchup, Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce and French's Soicy Brown Mustard.


He ate the whole damn thing, too

That actually doesn't sound too bad - though Sweet Baby Ray's is actually a bit too sweet for my BBQ sauce tastes. But that puts it squarely in the center of 4 year old boys eating universe.

Actually, I made myself a "scramble" out of the leftovers...not too bad (although mine had Tabasco)

Man, I had to Google all three of those ingredients to find out what they were. I could go a havarti cheese and hot dog omelette actually.

That's the key to knocking down picky eaters, get them involved in the actual production of the meals.
