In case there was confusion about the recording fest

Have your songs to me either Tuesday night or VERY early on Wednesday morning....I might have created some confusion when I changed the date :facepalm:

Also, what do you guys think about instrumentals for next month?
 
You mean cover instrumentals? I am all for that one, there is one in particular I have been thinking about messing with lately anyway so it actually works PERFECTLY for me.
 
But you actually have to be able to play lead guitar to do an instrumental!! :facepalm:

I actually came up with a really cool chord pattern this weekend that might work well for that - but playing lead over it is bound to bring days of recording joy to my soul (47 takes to nail one lead line? :eek:). And there is no way I can use canned drums - I'll have to either do the programming myself (if I can) or bribe someone to do the drums for me (locally or via the net...).

Yeah but it doesnt necessarily have to be fast. I have no left hand speed at all, as you guys know. But the one I have in mind I am fully capable of pulling off and I think it will sound pretty good. Im really, really, really looking forward to this. Like I said, I thought about messing with this one already, now this is just a perfect excuse to do it.
 
Not necessarily. It could be a Chet Atkins kind of song or a simple surf melody kind of thing...
 
Im confused - what are we talking about here - The recordings due now or the recordings for the next time?

What sort of drums do you need done?
 
Hmmm....well, since I'm not possibly going to get my entry done this week because I can't manage to get lyrics I like, I may just turn it into an instrumental and submit it for next time...
