Yeah. I came to my senses. I love the idea of a 1 pickup guitar, but I always wind up needing the other pickup in recording situations.

My hangups with teles is always the stock neck pickup and I never can be bothered to mod...and the “keef” single/hb middle is one of my favorite noises...so it seemed like a no brainer as a practical option.

And the bridge does tick the boxes I terms if intonatabiliy which is another huge thing when you do a ton of recording stuff with hypercritical nerds.

Tell me more about this G&L with a neck that was too thick. Never seen any G&L in person, just have read they have thin necks.

They have a number of available profiles. The standard “modern classic” shape is on the thinner side.

I made some extrapolations based on some things I liked on other guitars and went with the U shape with a vintage type radius that was just NOT MY BAG in reality. Occasionally I get a wild hair that X is what I “really” want and for single note shit or stuff I don’t play, X is great. But then it’s hell when it comes to what I actually do 9o percent of the time, which is chords, chords, chords and sliding chords around.

I suspect this “imagined use/imagined preferences” thing sells a lot of guitar gear vs people getting a handful of solid tools that do the actual job and then doing the job.
 
It’s here! But it’s at the FedEx. I didn’t have time to get it yesterday because I had to take A GERBIL TO THE VET. And then I had band practice.
