I purposely did it on a Friday during the fall so I could be sitting there watching football all weekend having the wife with gratitude wait on me. Relaxed on a recliner with a bag of frozen peas and a pillow in case one of the kids decided to run up and headbut me.
In the end it really didn't hurt. The hardest part was making sure I was thinking about baseball the entire time the male doctor was handling and shaving down there.

Also the trip(s) to the lab with a sample jar of your "essence" is uncomfortable enough as it is. You should place the cup neatly in a bag and throw in some loose candy a la Sweetwater. Saltwater taffy seems appropriate. Or maybe Sweedish fish. :)

The number they gave me was 120 days before I bring the first sample back. Apparently something's changed about the way it's tested and this is more accurate, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, they won't take my essence and I won't know for sure until January.

In addition to the time requirement imposed before they can confirm all of my swimmers have exited the pool, there's also a requirement that the, uh, flood gates be opened at least 25 times before then. I resisted the impulse to let them know I could knock that out before lunch.

If you have no or insufficient help on the home front to complete these tasks I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to hire out for that sort of thing. You know, call it medically necessary and charge it back to your insurance company. At least write it off on your taxes.
