If you could pick any one guitar....

Hmmm.... Either the Paul Kossof sig Les Paul or the R9

they don't sell Suhr or Sadowsky, so that will have to do.

thats kinda the thing for me. Nothing Fender or similar companies make is all that interesting to me anymore since I own the two Suhrs. The cheap stuff is kinda fun to try but like my AS73 they will never really be "first line" instruments to me.

Amazingly, they do not have the guitar I really want - or even something very close.

So given the choices available, it would probably be this one...

Thats funny, my wife asked me this question, not limited to Sweetwater though, yesterday.
I didn't have an answer....

Guitars that matter to me, find me... Somehow they find me....
My Martin was on the wall at a local shop, I was drawn to it... No real reason, there were tons of guitars on the wall. But this one called out to me... Now my kid who's going to Berklee in Boston for music, (Guitar), took it!!!!!!!!! I inherited a nice 63 Guild A500... My Gibson Customer Shop L5 kept nagging me to get it....back in 77... My Paul...well the list goes on. I never set out to get that perfect axe, they all just found me.

So what guitar would I get, any guitar from Sweetwater...etc...
I don't know. It will find me like the last dozen have....
Sure does keep it interesting though.....

I want another acoustic... But I'm not looking for it. I know I want one...but I just have to wait.
I'll be walking through a music shop and it will be hanging on a wall, probably break a string as I walk by, poke me in the eye to get my attention.... Then I'll know

my next guitar is either a replacement for my Ibanez, or a hollowbody (maybe semi). those would be the Suhr Modern and either the Sadowsky Jimmy Bruno or Semi-Hollow. Sweetwater stock doesn't thrill me so much in either of these categories.

I often do a thing when I'm on the throne where I'll say "If I had all the money I could ever possibly imagine, pick one thing from each page of the Sweetwater catalog to buy."

It's amazing how many pages I skip. :embarrassed:

That said, I'd love to have a LP with a Floyd. :embarrassed:
