I think it was extract based, and an additive rather than a sauce, but I don't think it was pure - that'd be too much for me.

I wasnt thinking it was pure cap. I cant imagine what that would be like. I cant imagine it would even be safe to carry on one's person. But I was thinking an extract, used to make an extract sauce, yes, so we were on the same page. You're one crazy mofo. biggrin
 
Seriously, other than getting it in your eyes, is it possible to be so hot it does damage? I mean, what can it do, other than make you wish you were dead?

Well, I can just imagine shaking someone's hand and then them rubbing their eyes or something like that. No it cant do any real damage that I am aware of but could accidentally cause you or someone else a lotta hurtin'.

Even with just my Dave's I am extremely careful, i make sure I dont spill any and if I do I clean it over and over, and I rinse the bottle off after every use. I dont want my wife or my kids somehow getting any on any part of their bodies.
 
Oh yeah, i can just imagine if a poor kid got ahold of a bottle, yikes.
 
Reminds me of a story - I have a friend who's the one that got me started on ludicrously hot stuff. He'd been cooking with Da Bomb: Final Answer one night, and apparently still had some on his hands when he and his wife began getting intimate - got her right in the naughty bits. Ended that session pretty damn quickly....

I had apparently left a tiny bit of Dave's on my hands before I went to take a leak once. Not pleasant.

I agree with you though, Chihili...nothing needs to be hotter than a hab straight up. I don't think I've had a sauce that's hotter than that pepper that came fresh off my plant.

Yeah, in their case it was apparently more than a tiny bit, and he had just enough time to get it up in there but good, from what I heard out of both of them the next day. She mentioned "hours".

That's ok. My wife knows who Jmodius is cause he's "the guy from Canada I got burned sending the seeds to". I had asked her to send out the seeds to him for me. I told her to be careful, be extremely careful. I guess she didnt take me too seriously cause they had been sitting there for a good while and were totally dried out. They still had a little of the white part on them from the pepper. She says she washed her hands a few times, but still, when she went to put her contacts in......... :facepalm:

D'OH!

BTW as an aside...the peppers are still growing beautifully...and are spreading around. I've given some to three different friends now...one of which is from Mexico.
 
I wear contacts, so i have to be careful, cause im rubbing my eyes constantly.


It surprises me that Dave's doesnt have the little hole under the cap for dripping, like a tabasco bottle. its just an open mouthed bottle, care must be taken in dispensing.

Is Dave's watery like Tabasco is? I find that only the watery sauces will work with the drip dispenser. Otherwise the thingie just gets clogged up and is basically worthless.

Nope, it's very thick. I dont think it would work well with the drip despenser.
