Me too. Right now I've got two telecasters (a Kirn Barnbuster and an MIM with upgraded PUs) an SG (future tribute) an LP Special w/P90s, a Jazzmaster, a partscaster superstrat, a Godin Acousticaster, a Fender Musicmaster along with a Melody Maker SG that is in my son's custody. I'm thinking of giving away the JM to my cousin's wife and selling the MIM Tele, the Partscaster, and the SG or LP. I think that would be a much more manageable herd...

Well - I prefer two acoustics....but otherwise pretty on point. :thu:

Right now I have two acoustics and one electric. But one acoustic I'm going to sell and get a bass with the profit. Then save cash for one really, really nice acoustic and a backup electric.

I realised many years ago that if necessary I could pair down to two electrics and one acoustic. No plans to unload the other guitars but that would cover any gigging situation I would ever likely end up in.
 
Myself, I could pare down to just:

My old D28 and my Recording King 000 as backup
My fav parts tele and a nice pro line Gretsch(would sell my 5120 and all other electrics)
My upright bass and my Guild Starfire bass
 
I have way 2 many. So today I posted some to sell on a local FB page to clear them out. None are expensive, but damn good players. Plus shipping is a pain.
 
Update...

Sold the Casino and strat this afternoon. Money ahead vs my original purchase prices.

Once I sell the Schecter I'll start shopping.

Then consider the final sale(s) and backup statuses once I've got a solution in hand.

I need a fret leveling on my PRS, but honestly, I couldn't have bought a better guitar at the time. Been almost 12 years now. If i were looking at a PRS, I'd look used. Or, I'd look at the S2 line. Like these:

Have you ever considered putting something together yourself? I've never been happier than I am now that I build them exactly how I want them...and with your budget you can build pretty much anything Warmoth has available...

I have put all of my dice in words and mental shit, with a few specializations in food. Nothing I build would be worth a damn.

You don't have to be DougK or telecaster911 to put together a Warmoth. Put it together, then have it setup by a tech.

If not, I say go Music Man. Albert Lee or a Stingray.
