I think you either love these, or you hate them (the Tall Font and variants). I helped a buddy sell his real one, and one of the reasons I was eager to help is because I didn't want to hear it anymore...lol. Thought it sounded like farts. and the W&C is the perfect copy, and I think it sounds like farts too. :grin: But a lot of people love them, so that's cool. Just not for me.

My favorite fuzz of all time is the W&C Box of War.

Yeah if I was gonna get a regular muff variant this would be the one. The tall font version reminds me of a bunch of my favorite 90's songs so it holds a place in my heart, farts and all.
 
I do like those. I almost picked up a '90s Muff for $40 the other day, but the dude wouldn't drive halfway and it wasn't worth the 90 minute trip.

Right now the Iron Bell and the Algae one are probably winning.

The Iron Bell kicks ass. I have a Zephyr coming in the next day or so. I'll let you know how they compare.
 
I should be getting my Red Witch Fuzz God II delivered at some point today. My friend ordered a Tone Bakery Crème Brulee, those nice really nice from the videos I've seen. I just wanted something that sounds good but can turn into a nice mess too.

I have a Fuzz Factory which is awesome for the out-there crazy fuzz tones, but is not very subtle.

Mostly single coils, but humbuckers too. Run through AC30 99% of the time.

I know nothing of the boutique prices buzz pedals. I have tried face face variance and my EHX Little big muff. I keep wanting to like a fuzz face, but I always seem to go back to the Little big Muff. It just is fun in a box to me.

I am a huge fan of the Muffs :embarrassed:
 
I have an op amp muff clone and like it.

I have major GAS for an analogman sunface though...
 
Seriously consider the MJM Foxy Fuzz. They're incredible, especially the bigger original version.
 
So I got to play with the Zephyr last night and this morning. It is way different than the Iron Bell. It is a much mellower fuzz, it isn't fizzy, it really sounds good, it just can't take you to the super fuzz like the Iron Bell can. It is still way cool.
 
I had a Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom on my board for a long time. It was a really great fuzz. No idea why I got rid of it.
