I just handed my landlord my 30 day's notice.

I didn't sign my name in shit, but I seriously, seriously, considered it.

Uploading some pics now, but won't be able to post them until this evening. Also got a floorplan of my studio space if you acoustically brilliant people want to help a brother out.

I know what you mean. When we first moved to Florida, we rented a horriffic apartment. The day we gave notice, was a very good day, congrats.

Heh, just got a bitchy call from her:

FCT: "yeah, the guys who are replacing the doors said you weren't there Saturday and couldn't add the peep hole and knocker."
Me: "Except, I was there."
FCT: "well, you didn't answer the door."
Me: "ummm, don't you have keys?"
FCT: "I wasn't home."
Me: "Gee, seems like your responsibility to make sure someone can perform the maintenance you scheduled and I don't think I'm that person."
FCT: "That's not the point. They'll be here tomorrow but I don't know what time, so be there ok?"
Me: "no problem... I have to get packing anyway!"

I have to say that renting properties where a tenant could vacate on 30 days notice would be a major major major PITA.

I've been there for four years, so I'm on a month-to-month lease term. They can give me 30 days or I can give them 30 days.

If you were leasing from me, you'd be signed up for a year, and if I didn't get notice from you 3+ months in advance of the end of that year, you'd be contracted for another year.

For permanent residents, anyway. If someone needs a place to stay in for a month, 3 months, or something specific, and there aren't any solid tenants looking to lease for longer, then that's fine, too.
