I co-teach a blues guitar masterclass with Tommy Harkenrider Tuesday nights. Tonight he wasn't here so I had to do the class by myself so after a few minutes of following what we had told the students class was going to be about I changed my mind and decided to plug my bass into the looper and record some basslines...we did a 12 bar box shuffle, a 12 bar boogaloo and a 60's memphis style R&B feel ala Midnight Hour. I recorded each bassline and then sat down at the drums. I could start the looper on the downbeat of a bar with my left foot and my right foot could play the downbeat on the kick drum and right hand on the hi hat or ride cymbal to get the groove going. The students got to play both the top and bottom rhythm parts together while I was the whole rhythm section
