How many of the guitars have you owned are still in your possession?

I know this is a tough one for a few of the big buyers/flippers here, but I did a little tally of my collection yesterday and realized I still have the majority of all guitars I ever owned (especially those I've owned for more than couple of years). None of the pics are of my actual guitars.

Here's what I've owned, with those still own bolded:

Part one, due to 20 image limit per thread...21 is just too many?

- Ibanez Proline 1440 - first "real" new guitar...sold in HS to get...

- Fender HM Strat - Mine was the Single HB version (which wasn't available with a maple board), but the store where I bought in (Ossining Music) swapped the neck from a model like this. The following year I had them add a Duncan Hot Rail to the neck position

- PRS Custom - HS grad gift from my grandmother. It was awesome, but I sold it to a friend to purchase a two other guitars you'll meet later...but got it back on a right of first refusal we'd set up

- Ibanez RG 770 - I had this and PRS above during my most focused period of playing/studying and arguably my best technical level

- PRS CE-24 - From East Coast Music Mall...fucker wouldn't stay in tune and I still think it may have been one of Ed Roman's in-house copies. Real disappointment considering how amazing my Custom is. This was traded for the next two...

- Ibanez AE40 - First acoustic guitar...whaddya gunna do?

- Am Std Strat - modded with a JB, Jr. and White-Hot Rail

- '69 Thinline Reissue - modded with six-saddle ashtray bridge, Barden bridge pup, and SD '59 hb in the neck.

- PRS CE-22 - the plan was to do a final test drive of the Music Man Steve Morse and take it home...I tried this as a final A/B in the price range of guitars I liked. The neck (wide-fat) is just so sweet.

- Gibson Gospel - First great acoustic...one of the guitars I got in trade for the PRS Custom, new along with...

- Am Std Strat #2 - which I traded for...

- Gibson ES-125 - biggest neck I've ever played, but it felt real nice...but was used as a trade-in for...

Part Two...

- ASAT Special - with what was the #4 neck (1 3/4" nut and 12" radius)

- Takamine LTD 1997 (Gecko) - went up against the Taylors and Larrivees I was thinking I'd buy and won on sound and feel (the nut feels too narrow these days)

- Ibanez Talman TCY10 - my beater...always laying around (never got a bag for it) ready to tune up and grab. Kids and cats knocking it around. It actually plays decently and sounds pretty good (until I pull out any of my other acoustics...then it's tiny town)

- Ibanez BTB 505 - Wanted a long-scale (35") 5-string - great price for the specs

- Takamine EAN 55C - my poor man's Lowden and my favorite steel string

- Godin A5 - better fit for me...also want the A4 fretless

- Morgan Monroe MMV 12CE - sounds quite nice, but it's a bit stiff up high and not well set-up. I need to brave an attempt at making a new nut (the spacing is a bit inconsistent) and working the neck and bridge saddle to get the action/playability better across its entire range.

- La Patrie Concert CW - My first nylon string - such a joy to play...so nice on the fingers.

- Godin Session Custom - incoming, but specs wise it's got all the markings of a serious keeper.

So 12 out of 21. This the longest it's ever taken anyone to create a new thread...it has to be.

Over the past 50 years I have owned more guitars than I could ever remember; at my age, I'm lucky I remember the ones I still have. In my current collection, the guitar I've owned longest I have owned since August, 2014. So you can see I'm rather fickle. On the other hand, I am also feeling pretty content with the current crop.

I mostly tend to hang onto guitars. I buy them because I like them. Occasionally if one is just collecting dust (White Falcon, PRS), I will unload them. Most of the guitars I have now have been with me for quite a while. The White Strat of Chimey Goodness has been with me for ten years. One of my '85 MIJ Contemporary Telecasters has been with me since '86.

Prior to buying my Taylor in '98 I just bought, sold, and traded a series of cheap guitars. After that I resolved to only buy nice instruments that I genuinely liked, and I haven't sold a guitar in ~19 years.

Yeah, I haven't sold an instrument for about 12 years. I've also only ever bought new instruments and try my damnedest to keep them in great condition. My PRS Custom and Strat have the most wear (outside of the Ibby beater) as they received the most play out of all of the current stable. I've also rarely modded guitars. I'm not sure the Strat's any better since I put in the "new" pups (more than 20 years ago). The Tele is now a different animal and I like it that way.

But I generally buy guitars because I like them as is...I've always done my homework, informed consumer and what not. While I have a good idea of what I want and like, I'm also open to new stuff/ideas. And now I'm rambling...

Kept all of them apart from 2 (EBMM and Parker) which I had to sell at a time a couple of larger bills needed to be paid.
Really don't like selling gear, to be honest.
I've gotten heavily into modding them the last few years though.

I had a couple of acoustics that died a horrible accidental death.
The Vantage that I still regret selling.
A hollow body something or other with painted-on f holes, a bigsby knock-off, and gold hardware. I don't even remember what I did with that one.
