happy new used guitar day. new to me, but used and in very good condition, well we will see when it gets here from GC in Virginia.

Fender Jimmy Vaughn Signature Stratocaster, Olympic White.
has the tex mex pickups (overwound) and extra overwound back pickup.
the tone controls work only the front pickup and the back pickup (positions 1, 2, 4 & 5).
the middle has no tone control, so no capacitor on it. (i think i'll love that).
fretted maple V neck that blends into a C neck around the 10th fret or so. (i've had a V neck before on an anniversary '57, and loved it).
the Tortoise shell pickguard is not on it now, but is ordered with the guitar and will be installed as soon as they get here.
here is a pic of a similar guitar. will post the real deal when i get it and get the pickguard installed.

But the tone control will still effect on positions 2 and 4 if they're rolled down.

Makes much more sense that way since a lot of folks don't use the middle pup on its own.

yea....when you see the way they come, olympic white + maple neck + plain white pickguard = TOO MUCH WHITE. :grin:

so the tort guard really adds some color and breaks up all the white. that's just me.
 
oh yea....forgot to post the cost. out the door with tax AND the tort pickguard = $499.79
AND apparently it comes with a generic hard shell case too.

yea....me too. i've watched a bunch of youtube reviews of them and one of them was Jimmy's guitar tech going over Jimmy's main stage strat and it's really stock and the same one i'm getting, except i'm putting on the tort guard.
on the videos, the pickups sound great. and having had a V neck before, i'm all giddy waiting for it.
they said it's not impossible for it to get here friday....but look for it more like monday. gonna be a looooooooong 5 days.
 
oh yea.....and i forgot to mention, to sweeten the deal....the shipping is FREE.
