I really need to get a couple of TRS cables to hook my monitors up with. I get a tiny bit of computer noise through my studio monitors, and I'm pretty sure that the Firepod's monitor outs are balanced, as well as the inputs on my monitors, but I've always had them hooked up with regular old TS cables.
