Memorial Day Weekend came and there was a sale at Eastwood. Been eyeing this guitar for awhile so when the sale came and being in a weak moment from being locked up, I ordered it.

Guitar plays really well out of the box and it is very solid and really well built. Small mods will happen in time. This is the closest for me to buying a real one that is used. I will cherish this one and it is a keeper. Haven't plugged it in yet as I like to play my guitars acoustically. The overall tone from the body design and resonance is ossum.

I wonder if Eastwood has a licensing agreement for this and some other models, or if maybe the design patents lapsed - they also do a Surfcaster called...Surfcaster; I would think Fender would not be happy with that, unless there was an agreement or something.

Rockerbox is not my cup of tea. Besides I have my Gretschs for that!

As for licensing, I am sure there is some type of agreement. Or maybe not, I don't really know.
