Hi from South Korea

That'll be a great experience. Keep the reports coming.

It's a beautiful part of the world. Odaesan National Park is lovely (think Rocky Mountains) in the summer, and the beaches are a short drive from there. Gangneung has lots of beach resorts. Plus, plenty of dried fish and squid.

Agreed, unfortunately the events I want to see don’t get much coverage. I’m worried it will all figure skating all the time. I appreciate figure skating, but there’s a lot more goIng on.
I am all about the ski racing. Alpine, and nordic. I ski more moguls than I race, but I prefer events where the winner is determined by a clock, and not by some judges on some sort of subjective standard. I love freestyle skiing, but more as an expression and event and gathering, rather than as something to be judged. Skating should be the same, as far as I am concerned. The US coverage always seems to over cover the figure skating. IMO. I do love the race skating. Heiden was an early hero. And the newer short track stuff is fun. The nordic racing is also very impressive to me. I don't need for them to stop and shoot guns. I prefer the straight race. The sledding events are fun too, and I never watch those at other times.
