Hey K, you check out Mafia II yet??

One of my students said it was amazing, but my consoles are full for a bit. I need to finish Mass Effect 2, God of War 3, and right about that time both Fable III and Fallout: New Vegas are coming out. I figure I'll pick up Mafia in the spring when the price drops. Same with LA Noir.
 
I wouldnt mind grabbing ME2, but I cant finish the first one. MAJOR sound issues that I cant resolve. Shame cause I did like it a lot.

Oh, that's a bummer. :(

I devoured ME pretty quickly... I actually liked it enough that the next days I went out and bought ME2. ME2 is quite a bit different gameplay wise... a bit more FPS but still incredibly tactical. Better control of powers and fighting in real time is a lot easier. The only thing I dont like is the revamp of the XP system and your power tree, because you level up a lot slower now and don't have as much flexibility. Shepherd is far more versatile with weapons though.
 
My roommate got Mafia II yesterday, and I've already almost beaten it. It's really short, and not as immersive/open world-y as GTA. Honestly, if you have Gamefly or something just rent it. The combat kindof stinks, but it is a very very pretty game.
