LOL – the often heard cry of web devs everywhere. Which version are you trying to support? We don't even try anything earlier than IE8 these days.

BTW, I've heard a vicious rumour that IE11 will be fully standards-compliant, although I'll believe that when I see it.

Like that is ever going to happen.

We still support IE7 for our sites. We were meant to drop support when usage fell below a certain percentage. It's been there for months. It's probably only developers that still use it. Anyway, funnily enough I had problems with IE8, not 7.

It's just a pain to write conditional css on top of your usual just for IE to recognise it.

Morning all

Reminds me of an old (but probably still apposite) joke:

Q: How many Microsofties does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: We can't do it, so we shall redefine the standard to be darkness.

Morning, lesbian porn critics

warm and sunny here, this may turn out to be a great weekend. Off to Lidl's during my lunchbreak to buy a few REFRESHING CONTINENTAL LAGER BEERS

Morning payday lenders

Just warm here, not sunny at all. However, that's still a good enough reason to buy a few REFRESHING CONTINENTAL LAGER BEERS :thu:

Back after a few days away with the family and some sally sensitive gave me a negative comment from the party thread. Added a load of suggestions which most related comments approved of so I guess stating that Burgers and Stetsons would be a great name for a country band didn't go down so well with one of our dentally superior cousins. Maybe it wouldn't it the USA but having spent a year on the New Country/Linedance circuit professionally, it would definitely sell to Americana fans over here in Blighty.

<---is dentally superior but wish my fellow colonials understood Euro humour a little better.

Hands up, it was me that started the thread :embarrassed: But honestly, it is my children's birthday in 2 weeks and it all started with a genuine inquiry.

I blame wok and acadia, their first posts set the tone. Well, I don't really blame them, I was actually pissing myself at their Euro humour

If ever there was a case for the 'That Escalated Quickly' meme, that thread was it...

Sorry chaps

Gosh, you forrin wankers (is that the right term? Over here in God's cuntry, I believe the correct appellation is jagoffs), you are all so good-natured and mildly amusing, and god-ownly-knows why your not more pro-american, I feel compelled to toss about some greenie points in the hope that it might piss off at least one of you. I'm looking at you, pmc.
They are Mexican chiclets, mind you. i bought a whole case for 78 cents from a 7-yr-old street vendor last time I was in Mexico. I'm sure they're excellent. Probably where Mark gets his.
This is free foreign aid from the US in the grand tradition, so show some gratitude.

None other. :embarrassed: Sorry about that. :embarrassed: Real Life got a bit complicated for a while there, but getting back to normal (ish) now. :embarrassed:
