ahhh i have been trying to figure this out my self. I just signed up with sound click and uploaded my file there. But its not showing up anymore. Do you guys know of any other places that are good for hosting music?

No, i did the recording with Amplitube amp modeling plug in in PT. I was using the marshall model in Amplitube to get as close as i could. Ideally i would have done the mic my amp but i cant get it loud enough to sweet spot. I have been looking into attenuators but still not sure how much tone i will get out of them.

That's one of my all time favorite Jimi songs.  I usually revisit it every couple of years to try and master it but I haven't yet.  We played it for a couple of shows last year and it was fun but I still didn't feel like I HAD it.

Attenuators kind of bum me out because you don't hear the sound of the speaker getting worked at higher gains like you do when you're cranking a big ap...to me that's an important element of the sound.

Demeter makes an isolation cabinet that I've used on recordings at my buddies studio that I really dig....

Those cabinets look like a tank i will have to look into those, that looks like a better solution to me then using attenuators. Listening to the clip you provided i cant believe how good those Zvex amps sound. I never got to play one but that sounds really nice. Very raw, which i love. heavy-metal-044

The Zvex is neat because you can get cranked tones at low volumes....a nice companion for the Demeter Cab although anything should work with it....

My Les Paul Standard....its one of the few recordings I have with that guitar thats not through my Pod smi
