HCEG 2.0 Fails, I'm comin over here!

im here also. not the it really matters, i didnt have a real voice at HC either. but i need to be where the information is at, this seems to be the place. nice layout as well. ill just pic my corner and sit down. :thu:

Wow this is what HC 2.0 should have been. I guess I'll be posting here from now on.

:ep:

NOOOOOOOBIE!!!!! You gonna migrate your latest build thread over here? :helper:

i am trying to find a way to post it here without having to re-type it :(

btw Mark,
if this place continues to grow with Hc refugees can your server(s) handle the volume ??? just curious....

Yep. I just joined. I took a look at the titles of the threads. It isn't a bunch of whining about HC 2.0. It is the type of stuff that was on HC 1.0. A lot of familiar "faces" as well.

Plus, dancing freakin bananas. You can't beat that. DANCING-banana

Nice to see familiar faces or avatars.........This place is much more comfortable than 2.0.

Pete, this one gets more like the old HC every minure. I have been here for less than a day, and people keep filing in. The forum itself is about as close to the good ole HC as we could hope to get. I dont know Mark all that well yet, but what a gracious and cool host he appears to be.

Stick around.

Even after the change over there, I had absolutely no intentions of leaving them, juist came in here out of curiosity, and it is like someone just flipped the switch putting us right back to a few days ago. I rersalize this isnt HC, but it is ALOT better than what they have over there now. The only thing missing really is the traffic, and I think that will continjue to grow as the days and weeks go by especially if undecided people like you stick around and bring some friends with you.

what's up man... GuitarNoobie here...

Another HC 2.0 refugee here. The diaspora is getting bigger every minute!

Thumbs up to GuitarNoobie for directing me here. Last night, when the old HC 1.0 was still accessible via its IP address, GuitarNoobie and a few other HC'ers were trying to help me make my final 70 posts to I could earn the "Hall of Fame Member" moniker than comes with 5,000 posts. I was up to 4,996 when the bastages at HC 2.0 (aka "The Man") pulled the plug.

As I've mentioned on other forums, the HC 2.0 debacle is sure to become a case study in business schools around the nation for how NOT to piss off a fiercely loyal user base in the space of a couple of days. It's really amazing to consider the level of arrogance necessary to roll out a completely revamped web UI while utterly ignoring months of negative feedback from web-savvy users. Sites like this one that have welcomed the refugees will be the beneficiaries of HC's arrogance.

Anyway, glad to be a new member here.

Can't you just copy and paste it?

We can handle up to 100 "simultaneous connections" or users at a time with the current hosting. I actually have a new server that I've migrated a few of our other sites to but between the special needs of this (and some additions I have planned) I was spending some time doing a little research when HC2.0 turned into Berlin May 1945. Once things shake out I'll get back to moving us but I'm afraid of screwing things up while people are still trying to figure things out.

At least my "Scheduled Maintenance" page plays videos while you are waiting for me to fix stuff :embarrassed:

Well, I'm giving this place a try:)

The new format at HC needs time.
BTW, I don't like it.

I'm trying to give you guys the stuff you liked about the old HC here and some improvements and extra features. Hopefully you all dig it and stick around, even if HC does get their shit together...:)
