Happy New Partscaster '62 Tele Style Day!

You gunky!
I got this double bound "fiesta red" body from Guitar Fetish's blem bin. It has some finish flaws that I should be able to clear up with some wet sanding and buffing out. All in all, not bad for under $50 before shipping. I got the neck from a friend of mine. It's an Eden neck and he had attempted to tint it and it ended up looking like an oompa loompa. I stripped the finish back off and am currently applying minwax natural stain to the maple parts before I clear coat it with a satin finish.

Otherwise, the bridge pickup will be a Fender '62 Custom and neck pickup will be a GFS Overwound Tele with reverse control plate and 4 way switching. If I don't like the GFS Overwound, I will probably swap out the Twisted Tele pickup in my Squier Tele Special or use the GFS Fat body with a Mojotone raw nickel cover in my parts drawer.

That's gonna be nice. The GFS pickup might work well -- I had a fatbody neck pickup in a partscaster that was a really great pickup.

This will be my 4th build from their bodies. I love the lightweight. They are very resonant and tuneful! you can't beat them for the price point IMHO.

I eyeballed a couple of their clearance tele bods and necks as well thinking,,i can do it…

NOPE. Ain't going there.

You are THE MAN! Fourth build? I would have imploded in the middle of the first for sure. Not because of the materials, only because i am a measure once/cut twice guy.

Cool build!
I find the bound body... Arousing.
